Archaon on foot *UPDATE*

Post by ToMaZ »

Heya,

Here is my first model from the tale. It's the archaon model on foot, slightly converted.
I'm pretty satisfied with the results so far, but I'm not sure about the metallics. I think I need to work on them a bit more.

The armour metallics look good so far. Maybe just some sharp highlights on the edges... Why haven't you painted all the armour in one go? (kneepads, left gauntlet...) Also the chainmail needs work but I'm guessing you haven't finished that yet!

The cape looks nice and bright so far! :)

the left gauntlet is skin ^^ and the kneedpads are going to be gold so I thought to do thema later :)The chainmail is indeed only the first layer.

maybe You are not too satisfied about metallics because this rusty color is quite similiar to red cloak? maybe to remove this feeling You could shade it and as Tim wrote - add some sharp highlights in armour?

I was talking about the armour needing some shade, but with this new pic, i dont know what i was thinking, it looks great. With the sword, he is no longer a surfer dude  The kneepads look great, i am really liking your metallics. Keep it comin. :D
