Ok here is todays work, im pretty happy with it, my best work yet.

Not happy about the slip in the beard, will have to be rectified later.

A lot of usefull tips on here, one question though. Im kinda a slow painter, when your using so little paint on youre brush how do you stop it from drying on the brush before it gets on the mini? :?

Agree. Depending on the brush you are using, it will hold some amount of paint. For example, I use the #1, WN Series 7 for most things. After removing the excess of paint I can do a maximum of 6,7 brush strokes on my mini. Then wash and reload.

Cheers

Probably you should also thin your paint. I'm also not a quick painter myself and by using thinner paint I don't usually have this problem.

There's not a lot of flesh on this, but it looks like you did a pretty good job with it from what I can see. It's kinda hard to tell... How much shading/highlighting did you do?

It's ok, think it was quite a dark wash then a couple of highlights. If I'm honest if I did it again I would make the overall skin tone darker. Being supposed to be a rugged dwarf an all that.
