Hi All,
Just thought I'd show off some of my limited painting ability.
First up some Dreadfleet stuff.

Now some Warhammer stuff. This is the only unit i have finished. I'm going for table-top standard. I'm hoping to have 2400pts finished for a Tournie at the end of Oct. so more stuff to come soon.

I've been painting for about 18months (slowly) so any feedback or tips how i can improve would be greatly welcome

Re: Almostsane's Showcase
simple and clean table top painting, surely good for gaming purposes.
For elves I'd perhaps introduce a stronger colour to make them pop more. white, light silver, light browns..
2400 points army in one month? wow, seems like there's a lot of painting ahead good luck!

I agree with Nameless regarding the poping stuff.
As for the 2400 points in one month, it's a lot and not a lot.
Considering in Battle, a single unit of 5 guys can cost you like 500 points, you can reach a nice amount of points fairly easily
Can't recall for the high elves if they're a lot of those units though

Good luck with the painting: a lots of stuff to be done in really short period of time!
Don't forget to show us the final result

I like the High Elf Archers, they look very clean and crisp (and you didn't make my mistake of sticking them together befor checking they rank up, I have a unit where they are all shooting each other in the back of the head).
The Dreadfleet stuff looks good as well, I always thought they would be interesting models to paint.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the stuff you paint for your High Elf army, 2400 points in a month sounds like an interesting challenge

its not that bad..Demi_morgana wrote:Yeah, suicide missions are always fun to watchruanae wrote:2400 points in a month sounds like an interesting challenge
I'm running a crazy list with 2 dragons in it.
first basically needs to be based and have its gems done (see my WIP thread)
Borrowing a dragon from a friend.
mage is pretty much done (just a few small details)
Archers are done
40 Spears have their base colors done so only mid-tones and highlights
15 dragon princes need to be painted... oh and the dragon rider....
so its not a crazy amount of work.
also I lucky that my Girlfriend likes to help me paint..
yeah I ranked them up as i glued them to the bases.ruanae wrote:I like the High Elf Archers, they look very clean and crisp (and you didn't make my mistake of sticking them together befor checking they rank up, I have a unit where they are all shooting each other in the back of the head).
the white lions and Phoenix guard are terrible for ranking... I've had to rank them up and number the bases to get them to fit. I'm hopefully going to get the dragon rider and dragon finished tonight and get all the metal armour done for the dragon princes.
