Hi guys and gals,
have six of theses minis standing as a unit in front of me waiting for some paint.

Problem is, the I am missing contrast here, do you have some advice?
Thought about using a brighter, more yellow body in the region of the mailcoat, perhaps even starting from a bluish white in the head area.
The steel darker, nearing tinbit/black with hard highlighting of the edges in OSL.
What do you think? Other ideas?
Thought they would be easier, but they turn into a challenge.

Re: painting k`daii fireborn
If this can help:
This is the Ifrit of the Saracens from Helldorado
Color scheme is exactly what you asked, fire, dark body (well, it's steel on the k'daii from fw, but it's still something dark )

Re: painting k`daii fireborn
Hellspawn made a great example! I think you just need to make the fire brighter in the deepest places (white) and make it more orange then red (like the one from FW).

Never thought that going into green would look that nice, great idea. Black, dark sea blue, green? wait...
Not too sure if I try the going to white except in the faces, with six I have a lot to do this evening.
Thx guys.
