Mordheim Giant Rats

These are not my latest work, I just thought I post them here as a start :).

I needed some giant rats for my Mordheim Skaven band about 5 years ago, so I bought a rat swarm blister, and put them on separate bases. Since the rats themselves are not very interesting figures, I thought I pay a bit more attention on the bases. They are not meant as display pieces, but I think they turned out quite okay. :)

One big pic of them:

It is a sort of real rope. I found it along my parents' garden tools, I think it was used to fix grape branches on the supporting sticks, or something similar :-).
I glued the rope on the base and then painted it. It has very nice texture.

(Sorry, if I don't use proper gardening expressions, I'm not very familiar in this field :-)).

wow, these rats were never my favorites, but your bases show us how much can be achieved by imaginative basing!

my picks are the one with the rope nad the one coming out of the hole :)

Cool basing! Real life material can work great on miniatures/bases. For years now I've used small twiggs and branches on bases and it works superb.

Really great bases - especially the one with the rope and the one with that pot and a rat sticking out of it. Great job.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I'm gonna make a close-up on the rat-coming-out-from-a-tube one on the weekend. :)
