heres the finished sphinx dont know how it will go on ebay but it has been sitting around unfinished for ages so I finally had to finish it thanks for looking

Skin is too flat for me, can't see any forms or reliefs on it :(

I also think the skin needs more contrast. The other pars look really good, but the skin looks like you lost motivation ;)

I like the metallics a lot but the
"skin" (main body color) looks boring and flat. probably a deliberate choice though...

I also find the skin rather flat and lacking in detail to match with the superb metallics. The contrast in colour for me is a really nice thing but i think the addition of shadows will help a lot.

I agree with what you said about the skin being rather shite I wish it was as mahon said and it was a deliberate choice but alas it was as solmar said and I lost all motivation with this :doh:

yea i'd not worry too much tbh, it's still a nice smooth paintjob and i lose interest on larger projects or ones which drag on at least.

or maybe try adding some TK free hands on the skin?

I quite like sea.man's idea. Between some shading and some freehands, it might come out quite nicely. Anyhow, I can't wait to see the model finished. The metals and gems are absolutely stunning :)
