Hello everyone.

This is my first humble post here since I have taken up painting again. Never been great but this time around I felt like I wanted to develop as a painter. Decided on a small ork band for 40K. This is the first painted boy I did. Bought the 'Eavy metal master class book the other day and tried to follow the "simple" instructions there. Well what can I say? It's not as easy as they make it out to be :) baby steps. Would like some hints and comments to improve. Im a beginner so be gentle the first time.

I posted this in WIP since I still have the steel on the boots and the base to finish.

so yours goal is an Army lvl painting as i assume ??
i will not argue with Master painting book by GW but i think ther is much beter way to get good effect without drowning evrything in dirty colors end in oily look .. end this efect is actualy "Classic" GW EM effect wich is imposible to achive using tech that flood evrything in inks / washes
this tech you mey c in Rzymek galery :
https://chestofcolors.com/gallery/rzymek ... r-fantasy/
if it cames to orks Arctica is the man end Galahard
so what is mine proposicion :
Paint another 1 just in base colors without shading but with all details wnd with preciuze not floding with paints parts rhat snould not get other colors (skin color on gun , mettal on hands end so on )
then post us with such clean base color painted ork end we will tell you what next :)
(in this way you will avoid all bad habbits you mey get foloeing instruction in this book )
