Firstly, thanks to KU for giving me the link to this place.

Over the last couple of days, I've been having a go at sculpting quite a lot of a shaman model. This is the first time I've sculpted a lot of a model, so be gentle. I like the new elf mages that actually show the magic that's being cast, so I sculpted this fella floating in some fire. I used a common goblin torso, legs and hands, sculpting the hair, tongue, arms, sleeves, magic ball thingy and fire. The pictures from the rear of the model came out terribly, so I can't show you the hood unfortunately. Anyway, on to the piccies:

Someone suggested that I turn the magic ball into a fist to represent the spell "Fists of Gork", so it now looks like this:

I'm not gonna give my opinion just yet! I think the pics are too blurry to make a proper judgement...

ok lets see concept wise i like the idea of flaming shaman but its a bit to much vertical, you could do more random flames because this way it could be anything even just a tree body.

sculpting wise i like the air but the arms look to bulky and not smooth enough and the thingys on the wrists are simply Gigantic.

so nice starting point man. keep it going.

about miniature: the pics are not the best quality - that's the brutal truth;
Your idea is pretty original - spell-casting wizard but imo his hands are a bit too "clumsy"
maybe it would be better if You would have used (???) plastic limbs from goblin sprue?
