in Poland it's better known for their game. what was the name... starship trooper?
humans vs bugs. it was released here, no real success though.
I've seen one demo game. bugs run, humans shoot, bugs die. bugs reach human lines, humans die.
the only question was - will enough bugs die before they get to humans?

I've seen random boxes in stores and on events also here, but never knew anyone who played it.

sounds much like the movie ^^
or a typical Tyranids vs Imperial Guard game of 40k...

It's not that easy in current 40k meta actually. Either the nids start the game so close to the Guard, that the later don't get to shoot, or the nids don't get to leave the deployment zone

As for the ST game I think it died a few years back, due to lack of further support and medicore minis, despite quite cool ruleset. I got myself a few samples for reallly bargain prices, and they were very average with a few exceptions (like the huge flying bug). The minis presented confirm that thesis - average sculpts, with below average paintjobs.
