I blame the new design ...

Excellent work on the all new Chest of Colors ... this encouraged me to finally become a member instead of just a silent reader from time to time.
Hi, my name is Michael
Looking around CoC I see a couple of familiar names and friends so some of you may already know me. But a few things about me ... I am a digital marketer and strategist by trade, husband and father by choice and conviction and avid miniature painter by night or rather in the few moments of hobby time I get. Well, with a family to take care of, house, job and ... umm ... procrastination *gulp* my painting time is scarce these days - so far I managed to finish two miniatures in 2011. But at least I am still painting
And my overall dedication to the hobby of painting (and collecting) miniatures is as strong as ever.
When it comes to painting miniatures it is all about display miniatures for me. I am not a gamer (tried that once ... a long story) but just a painter striving to become the best I can be looking for improvement all the time. I feel CoC is just the place where I can get valuable input in my ongoing quest to become a halfway decent painter
If there is anything worth noting about my painting it is probably the fact that I (very) often paint BattleTech miniatures. I do have a soft spot for Mechs as they are what got me into the hobby. Usually they are in 6mm scale. As Mechs are 10m-12m in universe this means that your average Mech miniature is between 25mm and 35mm in height. If you are interested you can see some of my works on my not-so-frequently-updated website or on CMON.
But enough babbling now. As stated I have been a (infrequent) silent reader on CoC for some time, but would like to become a more active member of the community (as time permits). In my opinion CoC is easily one of the best friendly places out there when it comes to painting miniatures
