I`m not an NMM expert, but I think to create such an effect you need a lot of work with highlights and shades on metal parts to create a strong contrast. The photo isn`t good, but I don`t see any shades. The same goes for white highlight -so called 'blinks' ;)
Generally it is painted nice and clean, but doesn`t remind metal parts.

Even though it's a nice paintjob, it can be anything... but not NMM."

NMM is all about light and shadows. And I mean lights and shadows pushed toward the extreme. You need to trace the way light falls on various elements and then apply highlights and place shadows accordingly - and do it in a bold and easily visible way. Otherwise it will not look shiny and metallic.

Check Flameon's gallery or [ur=https://www.chestofcolors.com/forum/view ... &start=660]thread[/url] - especially the last (10? 20?) pages. It's in Polish but the pictures are pretty self-explanatory.
These are good sources of inspiration for any NMM adept!
