EDIT 15-3-2013: removed Maelstrom from the title of this thread. Let's now use this for Stephane's own line of miniatures for now on.

some semi-insider news here: former Rackham sculptor Stéphane Simon is currently working on a set of figures which will be produced by Maelstrom games. I believe the figures are somewhere around 38mm. Looks very promising!

With a "bit" less armour, but I came with similiar thoughts. Still those are nice, even if eeeeeviiiil to the point of parody

I am not a fan of ALL the new and strange additions to the world of miniatures. But these are definitely interesting.
Probably too detailed for me, but surely nice things!

First thing that came to mind were the dark apostates. And while the figs are well sculpted and make me recall the Rackham releases, they actually don't appeal to me. Maybe they will once I see a painted version?

Not crazy about the heads on these. They remind me quite a bit of the Ophidians from Confrontation (and I wasn't crazy about those either). Probably not a coincidence.
