The "Share metallics tips" Topic

Heya guys again,
After a little chat with Mahon in the shoutbox on The "Share NMM tips and colors" Topic I decided to start a metallic topic too. As Mahon said:

A lot of people think that metallics are not as hard to pull off. And that's partially true, since you can just slap on some metallic paint, wash it with some ink, and voil?, you got yourself a metallic part. But does it look good?
I on the other hand think good metallics are at least as difficult as nmm. I am sure a lot of people will share my opinion, others will not.
Here are some of the IMHO better metallic links:
https://www.jrn-works.dk/ Jakob Nielsen's site. His tutorial section has a good tut on metallics.

https://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/245
https://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/232
https://www.kaple.dk/?page=tutorials&id=34
Not to forget:
CofC metallic tutorial
So the same thing goes as for the nmm topic: Share your experiences, tips, colours, techniques on metallics here
And I hope it will be a good topic to improve our metallics.
thanx for your time and attention again
