the anatomy or body stance seem to be a bit weird, indeed. I can't quite nail it and it may be something about the photos and distorted perspective, but the model doesn't look very natural. the face bears little similarity to the concept art, but I think it's better than the body pose.
Maybe Navarro can offer some more insight?

the pose is set on an angle the ground isn't flat and its doing allot of things at once to show quickness

I think, that the face differs to much from the concept.
