Before I start... I'd like you all to meet Rocky.

Rocky is one of our family pets. As you can see Rocky is a master of Stealth :)

He's getting on a bit, and sleeps way too much. And has arthritis in his back leg. He's an English Bull Terrier which aren't to everyones tastes (and they seem to have a bad rep) but we love him very much. He's probably the softest mutt I've ever met (he runs away from other dogs, but I reckon he'd have a zombie, or a chav in a flash).

Anyway, I've been itching to have a mini version of Rocky, and stumbled over the mini on CMoN the other day. And thought he'd look cool on one of the bases of my Zombie Survivors....

So here is Joe and his faithful dog Rocky:

Had a blast painting this. And learned lots in the painting process.
The Joe mini was a joy to paint (really nice work as always by Kev, I especially loved the fact he was wearing Doc Martins)...
But I have to say, although it was nice to find a mini version of Rocky (or Rockstar as he gets called by the kids and the wife), whoever sculpted him got a few things wrong (like the huuuge belly). But all in all, it's quite a cool figure!

wekest part of the mini :
whites .. shirt end dog
rest cool fine end balanced but White stands out in negative way i s just flat

your dog iven judging from poor dark photo has much more colors then white - a brown , an pink , yelow , grey
end white shirt .. well white is a nasty thing that reflect light + get hue of reflected light (unles perfect white .... imposible innature.. or at least on erth :P )
so as near white is green end blue thous hues should be mixed in Whites ... a subtel but they woud aper ther

BTT beside that totaly cool idea :) (end Clean ... - somthing almoust impossible to make by me )
mey we count on biger photos end on back photo ??

I like it a lot and to me the colors you used for the dog are totally fine. Using dirtier colors would surely change the style of this model (and of this mini-diorama too), which I assume was not your intention. I am a fan of this style, and so I like the model a lot. I was never crazy about this guy (Joe) even though I like so many Hasslefree miniatures. I don't know, this one just didn't do it for me.

The best part seems to be your painting of his arms, including the tattoo. Unfortunately this photo is a bit too small to allow us to admire what seems to be a great paintjob.

I really like your paintjobs. I really don't like your dog ;)

anyway, if I was to nitpick, I'd probably notice that skin on the chest is not as smooth as ther rest of the mini, and maybe leather belt could use a highlight or two.
