many thanks, Skeeve. some nice works there, but not the most impressive US GD in my opinion

I browsed the gallery and is it just me, or one can really feel dissapointed with the quality of those works? Even the winning entries don't impress me much. And that "Honorable Mention" Falcon in vehicle category might be nice, but jeeezzz... Some OSL tricksare enought to impress the judges? But that's purely my personal opinion.

i think the works are not bad. i just think that they're not as imaginative as those presented on some european GDs. but there are many nice models in the gallery.
it seems Natalya made another successful trip to America... :D

I'd say that this is standard GD US quality. we've seen better GDs there, but worse too.
is Nataalya attending european GDs nowadays or prefers easy wins?

well, for a painter like her winning in America must be much easier than competing in Europe. not that she wouldn't be able to win here, but why bother?

if she would be thinking that way, she wouldn`t fly abroad from Russia ;-)

why?
she's taking commissions, IIRC. Golden Demons get her more clients. it's easier to win a statue in the US than in Europe.
Logical, don't you think? of course, I might be wrong and she has other reasons to attend GDs on the other side of the pond. I'm just thinking

Because if she wouldn`t bother, she wouldn`t move from her town and win the competitions in her local sotre or club.
I think that even good rates at CMON give you clients.
