I have a couple of the old not prepainted Aberration Primes. Now, before I ruined them by taking a brush and some paint to them I was thinking of purchasing a couple of the prepainted ones and practicing. What are the prepaints like for painting over - is the PP mini like an undercoat like people said when the ideas were first floated? Anyone tried? Or should I just go and sit in the corner and hang my head in shame for mentioning such an abomination as Rackham prepainted minaitures on this forum?

don't waste your time and money on overpainting PPP. I don't know about the confrontation ones, but a friend of mine has some AT-43 and it's real crap: the plastic is really soft and cannot be compared to for example GW plastics. On top of that the details are blunt, weapons are often bent, etc.

If you want some practice on the Rackham monsters: why not strip the paint from your aberration and start anew?
