Oh thank you.
No it isn´t my first mini. I´ve already painted 4-or 5 till now. :D

I started painting long time ago but after a few years of painting gaming miniatures i lost the fun in this hobby. 2 years ago i made a restart . My wish is to paint only showcase minis but it is a long way to learn all the techniques and to get the right feeling for the colours.

Holy smokes! Your story sounds like mine. I'm 34, and started when I was around 12. It was almost EXACTLY two years ago when I found the eCommunity of painters and jumped in with both feet. I'm happy with my progress but I am MUCH happier with yours. That Eowyn is really looking good. Super nice work. Got any more pic's of your other work?

I like her face a lot. and sword too.
on the other hand, hair (2nd pic) look untidy in places. also, some darker shadows would be welcome on that element.
did you want to make her clothes look like a dirty rug? Transitions are pretty smooth (couls be smoother in few places though), but colour you used fit a peasant rather, not king's daughter, even if she's on the battlefield, not in a ballroom :)
base - green parts look good. Tiles - what should they represent? they look like ceramic roof tiles, but I don't expect her on a roof... Some stairs? they don't look like stairs, they look like few rows of tiles palced randomly.

welcome to CoC  I hope you don't mind my nitpicking. I'm just throwing my thoughts for you to consider :)

Hi

I think you are right with the hair. I have to change some things there.
Her clothes should look dirty. Like linen she wears in fight.
The tiles and the rest of the base should represent an old tempel or something like this. Normaly i ´ve painted such tiles in grey colour but i want to go another way this time.

Your " nitpicking" is no problem. I like this kind of criticism because it´s the only way to develop yourself. So don´t worry about it.

this isn't the easiest mini to paint, but you did a terrific job on her. The base is also very well done.

What is the green material you used on the base?

The green material are flowers from MiniNatur. And on the backside there is a little bit moss. Nothing special on this base :D
