Ok lets start off this TOG with my initial thoughts. For a relaxed start i wanted to do a small amount of models but of a high quality painting for TOG whilst im still working on my world eaters. I had this brainwave a while ago about a necromunda gang themed with pirates. When maxmini released their pirate heads i knew exactly what i wanted and since i didn't like many of the gang models that GW had released i decided upon using the ork models as Goliaths.
The gang consists of:
1 Leader
5 Gangers
2 Heavies
2 Juves.
I wanted something slightly different with the juves so i decided to make them grots/gretchin models showing those are the younger smaller members of the gang. Badrukk made a good start as a leader for the gang and the majority of the other models consist of Nobz which i have put together with the pirate heads from Maxmini. Im going to add extra green stuff bits and bobs to make them more piratey but i think the colour scheme will help define alot of the features. The colour scheme im going for these guys will primarily be blue and white with the odds and sods of metals in grey and gold nmm.

Since im a huge fan of the Monkey Island Series and pirates, I decided to give some of the models names from the games, so my captain(/leader) is going to be called LeChuck !

he wants to build inquisition gand based on his dark heresy group and I'd like to get nurgle cult...

That's great news demi you should do your nurgle cult for ToG join in the fun
These guys i will also be using a slightly different painting technique than what im used to. As some of you know i've always been a bit of an army painter slowly weening myself away from it to display pieces. So generally i undercoat in black and work up, caring very little about shading and concentrating more on highlights. This time around im going to use a white undercoat and work from a midtone perhaps. Still i want to try something different and expand my arsenal for painting. I think i will learn alot and it will be a good challenge.
