Out of my comfort zone

So I am challenging myself for the most part. I got the ghostly summons from Reaper just to see if I could paint paint a blue smokey figures. I am in utter frustrated failure mode right.

Ant thoughts on how to make a realistic smokey look? Tutorials? Anything really.

I think its not that bad for starts, just think you should add some greys, blend the blue, and smooth everything.

You should try using more solid colours and work to a more consistent colour i think. Get a good range of tones into the model and work to give a good contrast i think. No harm in trying again :)

I simply think you started with a concept that it's either too difficult for now, or not visualised by you clearly enough.
I'd clean the model, prime it white, and shade with some blue and grey glazes in shadows. Then I'd start to think if any details could be used for the models.
Now I think that the model would look better with no extra detailing and texturing than with them...

I think it isn't enough smooth for a ghost - more glazes please :)
