Elf bust finished

How to convert or sculpt a miniature? How to make a decent base or even a full diorama?!

It looks very good, far better than i could achieve. However, there are a couple of issues i have with it, i find the proportion of the guy's head and his chest very strange, I think a slightly larger head would suit it more.

The shoulder with the skull and wings is good lots of detail however i think the whole feature of the wings is kinda lost from those angles and it looks like the head is just resting on a bunch of feathers rather than being defined as wings as such.

The other thing is with the shoulder with the cloth, i find there are too many small folds, i'd kinda expect slightly fewer with larger folds but that is just personal preference. Also, there is a section next to the chest hanging down which looks rather unfinished to me, underneath the templar pendant. I think that part looks unfinished to me because there isn't a good distinction between the cloth and the chest piece at that point.

Still i do love the detail you've put into the whole bust and it is some superb skill you have.

huh, I have to agree with arctica. two more issues I spotted
1. I don't think that folds are sculpted correctly. some of them are horizontal, some vertical. this doesn't look very natural, especially at the joint of vertical/horizontal.
2. there is no crisp border between the cloth and chest armour. It makes it looks like they are merged.

face seems to be the best part of your bust. unfortunately, there is too many shades to take a good look. perhaps you should consider relocation of lighting?

@Demi - Nurgle?

1.skull doesn't really look warped.
2. there are 2 templar crosses.
3. Rincevent calls it Space Marine, not Chaos Space Marine.
4. not every 3 circles are a nurgle mark. these just look like some SM cybernetic enhancement.

waouh, I didn't intend to create any misunderstanding....
@demi: not really nurgle style nor cybernetycs stuff, the small dots on the forehead are studs (or they are supposed to like like ;) ), marks of carrere and hierarchy level... the size is 8cm large.
@artica, nameless: I fully agree for all the remarks: folds are strangely done on the front at least... and generally speaking I've lot to learn about sculpting clothes... and the head is maybe a little too small, right..

Definitely thanks to all of you.. I've a wood elf bust in progress, perhaps I could show it to you, if you wish ;)
