your painting plans for 2010?

Post by Corvus »

What are your plans for 2010? Prepare a couple of entries for the Golden Demons or just expand your Space Marine army with gaming quality minis?

Personally, when I look back to 2009, I made too little time for the hobby and spent it on the wrong projects. Because of this I ended up with a mishmash of experimental and gaming quality miniatures and half-finished projects.

So for 2010 I want to return to serious showcase painting again. First I will have to finish some ongoing projects (of which one is the Deathwing unit as it can be seen in the WiP section of the forums). After that I will probably start working on a unit of Black Scorpion undead pirates I bought a few months ago. When those are done I'll maybe do some Infinity figures or old Rackham ones...

So is there anyone else who has already made some plans for 2010?

Anyway happy painting for 2010!

my plan is to have time for painting AT ALL.
I think I will have to forget about painting showcase quality stuff, as it seems time doesn't allow me to paint a decent miniature in a reasonable period of time. so it means I either paint no more than 1 miniature per year and can fight for quality, or swallow my pride (if I still have any) and settle for something less demanding.

so 2010 will probably be the year of not too much painting and not too high quality.
probably also a trip to some weird genres, scales, miniature ranges... that's what always interests me even if few people appreciate it.

probably some gaming-quality soldiers in 1/72 scale. small, easy to store, looking OK en masse.
probably some slightly better 28-30mm models for my fantasy, scifi, and zombie collections.
maybe some 6mm or 10mm stuff? I always loved the effect which masses of tiny soldiers make!

don't really know, but I really enjoy painting and want to return to it. if I paint more miniatures in 2010 than in 2009 - that's fine.

good luck everybody and keep enjoying the hobby :)
