How to make a banner?

Hi, recently I bought this miniatures:

The box was new, but there was not a banner (only a banner pole, I'm missing only flag). Can someone advice me, how I can make one? I was thinking about getting thin plasticard, about 0,25-0,5 mm, bend it over some boiling water and done, but I'm not sure if it's going to be that simple. Any suggestions?

I have heard some people bend plasticard high above the fire.

You could always use paper and spray varnish it as a base to protect and strengthen the paper, then paint ontop of that.

thin metal sheets?
soda cans can be cut with scissors and modelled to any shape you want. Just be careful, you can cut yourself :)

and there is always a possibility to attach a banner from another mini.

Hmm... this is very nice idea. I got to try this first then. Is there any problem with priming this kind of material?

ps. Knowing my luck, shortly I will be Fingerless :)

ask Demi what to do with that ;)

I don't think you'll have problems with priming.

Be careful of the corners/edges when using sheet metal :) and i think if you use a drink's can to clean the metal because sometimes the chemicals can react with the paint, even the residual effects.

thin sheet of metal, like the aluminium foil used in flower shops...
cut it, bend it, prime it, paint it.

Isn't it too thin? It will bend during painting, and if I paint it on a flat area, then I'm not sure what about paint when I start bending it. Interesting idea thou. Both ideas, aluminum and drink cans, are cheap enough to try it (especially that I have unlimited access to cans each Wednesday and Friday :)). If it fails, I'll try plasticard.
