Seraphine

So between all the commissions I did lately I really needed to paint something for myself... and it needs special attention because I really like this mini and ofcourse I can't get the two beautiful versions of this model from Fluffy out of my mind (I'm not trying to compare myself to her since that is a waste of time but I want to get as much out of this as I can). So nitpicking is allowed :)

The snake is not finished yet and everything will get some final highlighting but please tell me if there's something wrong/strange/unfinished. Thanks a lot!!!

I see nothing wrong with this, but perhaps a gold glaze on the eye shadow would help give her a little bit of sparkle without being too over the top, she looks 1970s enough to get away with a bit of gold shimmer.

The snake is an anaconda? Looks pretty good so far, especially the attention to markings and scales.

The back right elbow feels like it could use a little attention. At the angle I can't tell if its more shadow or highlight it needs. I always do like when you work on these type of mini.

Awesome stuff! Of course she would look even better if the dress was a shine through!

About the snake, the scales are in the sculpt already so that makes it a bit easier... it is some kind of too green python, I browsed at least two hours on the internet looking for pictures of a decent snake, but none I could find matched the one I wanted. So I found a picture of a python and painted it a bit greenish.. I thought more brown would make the color scheme a bit dull.

And shine through... all the times I tried it on other models I didn't like how it came out, and besides, most of the times I don't even like shine trhough in itself. Why would some very decent looking lady wear a shine through dress?? For stockings and such and on slutty types (don't know how to call it otherwise  ) it looks fine I guess... but I don't feel the need to paint shine through as much as you guys   But I definately have to keep trying because I want to be able to paint it, but not on this miniature.

Nice, please give gloss finish to snake and flat to lady.

Oooh. I just stumbled across this and she is NICE!!! I've not seen many...well hardly any of our figures painted up by other people. I've been searching the web for peoples versions.

I love the eyeshadow. I wish that was something I had painted more strongly. Fits her perfectly.
