Still not sure how pics ended up different sizes. First time with a display base and playing with water effects.

Well I hate to answer a question with a question but.... You can polish metal minis? :o

Did the metalic bits with gunmetal, chaos black, and mithral silver (a new pot) why the space marine guy was so bad.

oh yes, you can. that's a pretty common way of achieving the metallic effect by historical modellers.

you polish it to achieve the metallics sheen and then stain it with dark washes to create shadows.

check the 6th paragraph for some notes I wrote long time ago.

and your metallics look so shiny that I thought you used the polishing method.

There was one on here a while ago by someone who polished and lacquered a knights helm... looked totally fantastic and I think your metallics are brilliant BTW
