Project Mantic

As discussed here https://www.chestofcolors.com/forum/view ... =25&t=5877, I got my hands on a pre production sprue of these elves.

To really put this to the test I decided to paint this unit of spearmen.

This post will also be a placeholder for my future Mantic paintwork, really looking forward to the upcoming releases: undead and dwarves.

Anyway the first pictures are of the assembled unit, and then a shot of some of the faces I painted.

Please note I'm going for a good gaming standard, not showcase quality or whatsoever.

will keep that thread on eye for sure :)
these minis look better on your pics than on ones made by a manufacturer :)

Just what I wanted to say.

The manufacturer should be proud and owes you a lot. You promote their minis better than the manufacturer.
They look better on your pics than on their own!

So that would be like I'm expecting my diorama pieces to turn out like

If it makes any difference - the bases are wrong size for WFB

I have some of the bases at home and will compare them to WHFB bases is I have time for it.

I'm also waiting for a command sprue to arrive.

As for the painting: currently working on the metallics :)

minis look a bit weird now. strange proportions, weird anatomy, thin parts....
maybe just because of the photos?
