After spending like a year in my cabinet in a semi-finished state I finally finished this mini. As usually happens the mini became a mini-diorama. Right-click on images to see full size. Critique and analysis is always appreciated :)

Stunning. Really stunning! I'm starting an ork army and I'll have to come back to reference this boss for sure. Very good work!

great mini! skin tones, metallics - good job you did! The axe looks fantastic.
What I don`t get, is the idea with a hand sticking out of mud (?) and burning books/scrolls. Orcs hate reading? ;)

Hey skeeve, i read your blog on CMON when i get time, great stuff there, and its nice to see you show us your work on here too. I love the whole feel of the model, it paints an amusing story, nice work on the scarring of the ork's eye too, the skin on all of them in general is really superb. I don't know if it's the photo or the model but there seems to be some sort of pale saturated light on one side of the model which kinda blurs things a little bit. But still i really like the model and the osl is nice too.

I'd love to see this mini in real, because on the pictures it is a little bit too crowdy on it. But I can imagine that it must be really nice in 3D. The painting is superb.

Lovely, did you make the base yourself?
