I plan to give my hero a decorative fur on his armour . Anybody know how to paint something like gepard fur to get nice effect?
Any examples (pics or links)?

I don't have any examples at hand but would paint the fur in ochre color (natural sand yellow) and shade it slightly to orange-brown, and highlight slightly with white.
Then would paint the pattern like this:
LEOPARD:

big brown dots first, then slightly overlapping smaller black ones.
TIGER:

the lines don't need to be straight, smooth, or even - as you can see.
GEPARD:
Easy, just dark dots:

@Slawek - I would add a little brown to mute the color a little bit. Anyway I don't know what the true color is, and photos aren't very accurate sometimes.
And you don't need to be very realistic and correct when it comes to painting fur, don't you think?
