I've been a little quiet of late on the miniatures front, it looks like I shan't get much chance to work on any until March due to insane levels of work.
I recently struck up a trade with a friend of mine. She's going to knit a sheep for a garden game I've devised and in return, I'm going to paint a miniature for her.
I'm stuck as to what colour scheme to use on it but would like to do something interesting. I've never worked with Rafm miniatures before and I can't find any examples of the above fully or even partially painted.
I can see, I can see!!!
well if I were you I'd consider 2 options:
-pale flesh, almost white with ruple/pink details to make whole piece look like a gigantic larva
-dark paint scheme - rotting green combined with blak maybe? sth to give it unearthy look
how big is this btw? is this 25x25mm base inder it's tentacles?

STH? I had a look in the Painter's Dictionary and couldn't find that term.
Ilike the idea of gigangtic larvae, that would suit the model very well I think, probably better than the darker scheme. I need more practice with pale colours too, which is good.
I think that base in the picture is the size you guessed. The whole piece isn't huge, not much bigger than a Games Workshop Space Marine bike.
