interesting debate there shame i missed it. But i have to say this latest piece is outstanding, im so impressed with such a limited palette you have done extremely well to get the effects. The hair really makes her stand out and pulls the focus to her face. Keep up the improvements and painting.

need your help now. what colours shall I use for the ballustrade and slabs she is staying on? I'd like something dark (for a nice contrast against her) yet realistic.

Someone is taking a leaf from Mahon's photoshop book in my opinion from those i think the most realistic one would be the brown/sand colour one it suits the way the model has been painted the most. I think if you were to use a blue hue of stone a blue hue/shading over the model would have suited it more.
