Looks pretty decent to me. I like the color choice. I also always like to see a heavy weathered marine.
The thing that bugs me is the battle damage and weathering on this one. It is a bit unrealistic in places. For example on the shoulderpad, the weathering there looks too thick and the damage effect is a bit lost. Try to paint thinner lines of white under the spots for the damage effect.
I would also try to achieve a better sense of the zenithal effect. So more highlights on the areas that the light will directly fall on. Head, shoulders, streched arms, backpack, knees, toes etc
It looks good, but with some more work it can look better

Very impressive specially as a person who just got started doing the battle damage like this. So take what I am saying with a grain of salt. The helmet portion looks a bit over done. It might be like ToMaZ said but for some reason I think it may be to much of it to close together hurting the effect. Then again it might just be the pictures making it feel like that.
If you don't mind me asking what are you using for the armor color. I really like it

I think its great, i still haven't gotten the courage to do any battle damage on any of my minis yet but one day. I think the comments made here are spot on, the main problem with the mini atm i see is the battle damage, it seems too evenly distributed across the whole armour. If you imagine a piece of machinery you will see most of the marks will be on the edges and where most use comes from. I think thats half the battle (excuse the pun) with painting this sort of damage. I read somewhere that someone said once you've done the battle damage you should remove half of them to make it look realistic. Saying that i admire your skills and bravery in jumping in, im sure when i come to doing battle damage i will probably make more mistakes. Dirty marines for the win !

To tell u guys the truth its my second attempt to paint battle demage. I know that it's still a long way. I was inspired by Artur's sm with meltagun I guess you should know it... Armour was painted very easilly. First it was all painted with tinned down snakebite leather followed by bleached bone, about 2 thinned down layers. Than i used gryphone sepia GW wash glazing down for shadow for future drybrushing, wheathering etc. In the end there was a very boring process of highlighting on edges from bleached b. to white. I've been using bleached bone equivalent from Vallejo( bone white i guess) as it covers better. I assumed the solar radiation from zenital position... Thanks for comments and advice...

bring it to the meeting so we can all see- BTW try using some white paper behind your mini while takin' photos

as for the mini I think that you have made a bit too many scratches and that's why it's difficult for me to concentrate on particular part of the mini

I definatly think the tone of the color was worth the work it took to get there. It feel like once upon a time it should have been a bright color but has been faded and dirtied. I think it sets a nice mood.
