greetings!
thanks to Mahon and his digi-cam I can share some of my stuff with You; this time it's IG vehicles: chimera and sentinel ( :curtain: btw - there are more new pics in my gallery if You are interested... :wink: );
I painted them in adeptus arbites fashion and tried to give them a natural, weathered look...
what do You think? maybe any suggestions how could I improve these models?

so here ther are: armoured fists of the emperor!!! :rifle:

Very nice paintjob, I'm amazed :).

There are a few things I'd like to comment:
On the gun of the Walker the metallics are a little bit flat. Could benefit from some more shading / weathering.

The rust spots on the legs are on a wrong place I think. A metal part becomes rusty due to contact with humidity and wetness, so rust normally develops in the way of the flowing water, on the lower part of things. You put the rust on the upper part of the joints for example, which doesn't seem to be right. The effect itself is great, though, just on the wrong place (but not everywhere). :)

The chimera looks good to me, nice effects on the weathering. The driver could be highlighted a bit stronger, too.

I decided to paint both multilasers in the flat way because I wanted to make a laser-type look special - that's wry I didn't put any rust or weatherings...
in my wh40k universum laser weapon simply don't get rusted! :bonk:

hmmmm... good point... I never thought about this
otoh maybe some very corrosive acid-rain could do such weatherings? what do You think?

yeah, I know... :( it's because I painted the driver in a rush - it was the last thing to do and I just couldn't wait to varnish and base the model... :?

the AV is pretty nice but that walker is really impressive! The armour plates around the driver's bucket are gorgeous and the rust effect is very pleasing! Lovely

whoa Demi, great stuff :D

The chicken looks really impressive! I love the armourplates and the rust. What colours did you use for them? But I think Endrem is right about the gun. It looks too flat compared to the other parts :) Still great job, and the rust being in the wrong place... it isn't disturbing ;)
The Chimera looks great too. I agree again with Endrem on the driver. But it still looks good.

Great job Demi!

Aah, I see. That's right, I'm not very familiar at weapon-techniques :D.

No, it is not disturbing, was just a note on it. The acid rain could have caused it, that is the solution :D.

these look absolutely amazing ! the sentinel has a very realistic rusted feel and the weathering is top notch. Maybe the cables leading to the lascannon / multilaser, don't know what it is, should have two colours. that's the only flaw that cought my eye.

well... I was thinking about painting cables and some buttons in different colours but then I thought:
it's a killing engine, not some f*****g christmas tree!

oh, and the weapon is a multilaser 8)
