Chest of Colors forum

hey,
I want to paint red armour similar to this:

I am wondering about the effect of "sparks" or whatever it is; do you think it could be achieved by painting "randomly" yellow/orange points and blending it with armour? could it be just it?

I would paint these 'sparks' bright and much lighter, and then bind the colors together with a few smooth glazes of transparent red.

and do you think demon's flesh was highlighted using wbite/bleached bone or rather bright flesh tone?
I think too much white could make the model look pinkish

...but glazed with red a few times after highlighting.
