Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

Back when I knew little of nothing about mini's and the proper methodoligy for assembling them I unfortunatly used quick setting areldite to assemble a Storm Dragon, since reading on this site about thinning paints and other VERY useful tips I decided it was time to try working on the dragon again (it's the biggest think in my collection at 130mm to it's wing tips) so I coated it in Hammerite Paint Stripper (that stuff's lethal but removel the hard aged dried on paint a treat) and my model came apart with a little effort.

Now comes the point of my thread, there is Areldite all over this model due to me being a sloppy sod and I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions for getting the dam stuff off without resorting to industrial strength acid!

ps. I'll be adding some pic's to my WIP as I get this model put back together

Did you ever get this worked out?

If not, I know over here many hobby stores that deal with lots of car models and model trains will carry a type of de-bonder. There are maybe a few different brands, but they all basically are designed to break down adhesives. Safe for plastics or metals typically.

I'd also give a chance to well-supplied hobby store

I actually took to chipping the stuff off of the model with a tooth pick but gave up in the end, maybe now's a good time to get this one back into the queue for painting

do you have some kind of dremel tool?
btw, storm dragon?

This is the first attempt at painting it (before I joined here) and it's a funny pearlescent paint we used... it's not a good job by any stretch of the imagination

Yes the Mrs has a dremmel but I'm too scared to use it on the dragon
