The site was down for some time but is back online. I was doing some upgrades on the server and website so it was safer to switch the site off to avoid data loss.

Sorry about it.

Some more work is being done now, but it's being done without disabling the website.

another weird phenomenon - I have to log twice to log in. First attempt kicks me back to forum main page without actually logging me in.

you're loggin in from the forum page? I usually log from the main page so I didn't notice this... may be a sessions or cookies thing.
Later today I'll clear the table and see if it helps.

it may be a caching thingie too, but as far as I can see accelerating PHP increased the speed of our website...

I had to do a password recovery some time last week, and I swear (!) it was not because I had forgotten my password. It was really strange. But things seem to be fine now.

Thanks Mahon for putting an English message on the page while the site was down. I would have been worried and bugging you with email otherwise this last weekend.

Trying to do my job as good as I can and as time permits...
