The rules are very simple. you can do a figure in 30, 54mm or even a bust based on the illustration you will find bellow, together with a brief background. No need to be the same pose, but the most important is interpretation and get personality of the character. The one by our judge who get the best piece in our opinion will be the winner of the contest. It is so simple. Look bellow for the prices in the different scales and pieces. As you can see the scales and bust are the series we have in enigma, due in the case of the winer has the quality enough the winner figure will be part of our range. so this can be good chance to find a new sculpture within you
You can start from today until 30th june when the contest will end. We think it is time enough next year we will give more time. You just send us pictures of your work before the end date. Some people said about to send the original piece to us rather than sending pics, but we think sending the piece could be risky and no really needed, so you better limit to send some pics of different views. of course, a good picture will help to appreciate in a better way your work.
About the illustration
you can realize your piece as you want. you can do it close to the original illustration or you can change it if you think it can help to your interpretation. There is nothing wrote about how the winner figure must be, so you free to do it as you feel better. What we will judge is the overall quality on the figure and the interpretation capability.
Sizes for the scales and pieces
These are different sizes for the different scales that you should work on in order the figure fit to a proportion for his race. This is a small subject, about 70cm tall. That would be About 19-20mm to the eyes if you wan to go with a 30mm. About 30-32mm (similar to yarry's size) for 54mm. The scale for bust is about 1/11-12 or 150mm bust, that is a small bust. If some point is not clear, don't hesitate and let me know.
If you are going with a figure and you are not familiarized with cutting the pieces off for the casting, don't worry about. If your figure is the winner we will do that work here, that way you don't need to be worry about where, what and how you should cut off.
Brief background: Oqtarimus, fairies crippler
The Oqtarimus hobby is to hunter good character beings, but only smaller than him. He feels special repulsion for fairies ... he hates them. When he catch one of them he loves to cut her wings off with his poisoned scissors, once they are cut off they never grow again. Then he load the crippled fairy in his cage to reduce her to the minimum expression until she die, as if he would wants to end with their symbolism.
Details of the figure
He has a cone head slightly sloping to the right side, like wearing a hood. The spikes in his head are characteristic of his race, through them emanate their enemies blood that they store within in a ritual. He wear Elizabethan collar. The cage don't need to be exactly the same, you can do a different or more complex lattice. The back side isn't not very complicated, you just can add some money bag or some detail you can imagine from the background.

450? if the winer piece is a 54mm
350? if the winer piece is a bust
the figure will be produced and released by Enigma in its range, but if the winner piece has not the quality enough for that. So you could be part of the Enigma sculptor for further projects.
this contest only will have a winner. The one who do the best figure/bust (under our opinion). but maybe we can be interesting in other figures to release the same figure but in different scales or bust. in that case the prizes would be the same.
