I was judging just the miniature as such. not comparing it to anything - either the 'real world' or other minis...
I just think it is too small and massive, too. maybe it's just the photo and it looks different in the flesh. maybe it looks great next to other minis, but now it seems too short and muscular for me. of course it's just my personal opinion...

Ah! A question of style and taste.
In my opinion the photo is a fair reflection of the mini itself. The pony is short and muscular compared with Newbold World horses. Some of which are big and muscular like dray horses and some of which are tall and elegantly slim like race horses and some of which are just plain average plodders!
I think it fits in well with the other NW horses but I am probably a little biased!
