info on how to create a base like Ana's Ogres on Rhinox

Hello all, I am new here and just love the woprk amoungst the many and varied painters here. I am from Sydney Australia.
Whilst I took up painting over a year ago I am lucky to paint 2 minis a year such is my time. it gives me joy though and a way to escape.
I recently bought the limited edition Ogre for GD in Oz and have an idea for a base for it though have no idea on the materials or even how it is done. The example I am talking about is one such like Ana' Ogres on Rhinox: https://www.chestofcolors.com/cofc-postn ... _photo.php
So if anyone one here can enlighten me on this process I would be most appreciative.
