A few Pics of Mine - GW High Elves and Dwarfs

Post by KingUlrikFlamebeard »

As not to make many theads for my small gallery here are a few pictures of my stuff I currently have on the net.

Dwarfs

Here I currently have one model, and yes all those pics are the single one. But they are taken from various zoom lengths - I was testing my camera for the better pics.

High Elves

Ok, more than one pic in here ;) My Dragon Princes - of which I am very proud - as well as my Bolt Thrower and an overall pic of my recently painted part of my army.

I hope you enjoy, and any comments welcome.

I like both Your armies; the only thing I can advise to You is to base the dwarfs

Yes, I have that problem. But these are a week or so old and I have given him a scenic base, I will get a pic or two some time this week or next.

Thanks for the comments.

The high elves have a really striking colour scheme and look very good, but you really need to add some green statis grass to the bases. Grey horses + grey bases = not good :)

Welcome!:D

the elves are my favorited:very cool colorscheme!
to me you need to use a darker background for the photos, with the bright white one some details become lost

Thanks for the comments, and here's a pic of the completed King Alrik on scenic base. It's nothing spectacular but for display purposes he stands out a bit now.

Nice but the rock is a bit overwhelming like this! Maybe you could use some static grass on the base and give the rock very thinned washes of other colours.

yeah, as long as ther rock isn't made a bit more interesting - it is too big. If you make it a bit more special, the size will be justified.

Probably some selective washing with thinned down but random colors, heavy highlighting on some parts of the base. maybe some greenish drybrushing in some parts to create a "moss-covered" look?
maybe some static grass in addition ti this and ...

.. you will have a cool centerpiece for your army, as the mini is really nice!

Hmm.. never noticed that. Thanks, I think I could manage a small bit of work on the rock. I think I have some green ink left, maybe some brown or chestnut too.
