No, Thanks to GW for the universe of many cool things.
Unfortunatly, I was pretty disappointed of the Games Day. I mean that maybe I hope to much for what I had. I already did a report of that show on my forum, but I spoke french. Here I will translate to you.
It was my first experience. I travel from my town in Quebec to the big city of Toronto (7 hours to go) to assist I hope so the greatest show of my life.
In all the White Dwarf I saw so many pictures with cool things: Like a scaled life replica of a Ork Catapult or just a visual look that is a GW show.
I think the Toronto Convention Center was a bit to big for that event. Like u can say in my pictures, There was to many empty space. It can be fill with some thing cool maybe. And the only visual like Warhammer structure was the Warhammer Online stand.
Animation
The animation of the main stage was done by RobinintheHood.com. Just 3 words: Look not Warhammer at all. I was hoping that GW will animated the show will a professional compagny of entertainment. The character look not like Warhammer universe people at all. I will say that the visitor in costume were much better looking. And the fights was so boring. It was like a choregraphy of newbie who try to fight with real sword but don't want to be hurt so they fight in slowmotion mode. I hope they have a better looking at there summer festival.
Golden Demon
It was, one of the main reason I travel so far for that day. It was stunning to see all the talents in one place. Team Montreal did a great job when they take the initiative to create a stand for them to show there works in progress.
Grand Tournament
Of course, as a visitor i was'nt able to cross the line to shot the tournament and the armies in battle. But I think the Hall of Heroes are one of the reason for much people to come and try to win.
Models
There was pretty cool models (maquettes) of local clubs to see there. All the LOTR and Fantasy was interresting for my eyes. 40k were just models of the plastic kits of GW dispose on a big table.
Warhammer Online
One of the coolest stand of the show. I like to see he high resolution game play in local server. I was hoping to see myself plaing but, I didn't want to miss some good pictures when I will be in the wait line.
The Big Model table
U know when I say the big table of an Epic battle. Every good Games Day have one. This GD have just a table feel with tanks to constitute an legion of 40k tank army.
Store
Good thing is the Black Librairy store and Forge World. For the GW store not very special.
Collectiable
the T-Shirt u can buy there where to simple for me. I tought you can find a Games Day Canada t-shirt but the t-shirt was the Powder Monkey. Not very cool looking. And all the other thing u can buy of collectiable, i will be find them in a Conflict Show at Montreal.
In conclusion, I will be glade to return it, if I participate to the competitions.
