PAPER Rhino vs Hungry Cthonian

Finally next-to-last paper trank is done!

The next one will be even more rusted and corroded (I plan to put there twice, yes - TWICE as much rust than on this one!

) but I had to test some solutions on the model You can see.
The "story" of this piece is sth like: scout vehicle stucked in swamp while exploring it, the crew abandoned it (or maybe was killed? starved? maybe there're still some corpses inside? who knows), and tank was left in the middle of nowhere for many years corroding. One day swamp Cthonian (called Dragynus by local tribesmen) discovered it on his hunting grounds and decided to check if he can find anything tasty inside - canned meat
This project couldn't be brought to existence without technical help of Dragyn, Illusionrip and DiaCon - thank You guys!

Painting is very good. Is this a diorama for a contest?

well it was supposed to be my entry for starplayer's RIP contest but after some problems with first set of tentacles I realised there's no chance for me to finish it on time; besides I wanted to practise sth on this model and prepare myself for making ultra-junk

Damn good job - I also made a paper rhino, but your work and painting is brilliant

(and a little bit better than mine

)
One question - in what substance did you sink this vehicle?
And do your paper rhinos sell well on ebay?

vallejo water effect (still water to be more specific) - I had to use over half of the bottle so that was pretty expensive project

fortunately I didn't have to pay for water effect

no idea - never tried BUT creation process is so time consuming (4-5 days of assembling) that I don't believe I'd get satisfying price on auction... it's a paper + pva only after all

great dio demi
what to say, you 're the specialist of rust and tentacles
a 10 for me
the atmosphere of oldish staying rhino abandonned is really realist

Yeah I know, but after whole process the effect is very realistic, and f.g. my rhino was very hard. Thanks to pva
But yes, it's very time consuming and after so long time can can get bored.
Of course 10 for you, your rust rules
