Everyone?s favorite speed-painter Robert ?Jester? Cruse is going through his second surgery since November. After 9 months of not being able to work and with today?s insurance policies and their high deductibles and co-pays, he could use a little help paying for his medical bills. But we all know Jester, we know he would NEVER ask for help and would have a hard time accepting it. Which is why a group of us have gotten together to do ?Project Jester?!
What is ?Project Jester?? Gamers, painters, and collectors who know and love Jester are donating painting and gaming related items to be sold in auctions on ebay. This could be RPG materials, limited edition minis, painted minis, or anything else the gaming community might be interested in. The items will go on ebay under the ID 4badkatz, clearly marked as ?Project Jester? items. Throughout the time the auctions are running, ONLY ?Project Jester? items will be listed on this account. A Paypal account has been set aside for the sales on these items and EVERY PENNY (excluding shipping costs) that is in that Paypal account will go straight to the Cruse family to help pay medical bills.
How can you help? GREAT question! Cutebutpsycho, also known as Erin Warfield, is taking point on this one. Email her at cutebutpsychominis@comcast.net if you have a donation. ANYTHING is welcome. Since she already has a small ebay presence with painted minis, if you have an unpainted mini you would like to donate, she will be glad to paint it (or find a painter to do so) before listing it. Don?t have anything to donate? Are you a good painter? Once again, email Erin and she will send you one of those minis that are sent unpainted for you to paint. Don?t have an item to donate, or painting skills? That?s okay! Visit the ebay page and bid high and bid often. Or, if you don?t find anything you want-visit the special Paypal account registered under erinwarfield@hotmail.com and make a straight up donation. Or tell your friends about ?Project Jester?. Feel free to add a link to the auctions in your sig line or anywhere else you would like.-It's the link in my sig line
A website will shortly be added with information about the progress of ?Project Jester?. It will include information on what has been donated, who has donated it, when the item will be on ebay, what the item goes for, and a running tally of the amount of money brought in by the auctions. At the end of the auctions, when we run out of items and things have stopped coming in, Erin will have Paypal send a paper check which will be scanned and displayed on the website. This way, everyone can keep track of everything that has been brought in and the progress that is being made.
Jester doesn't know I'm doing this-it's intended as a surprise. I know I can't get away with it long since it's on the web and all, but if you could refrain from mentioning it to him if you speak to him, I'd sure appreciate it. I post with confidence right now because he is currently at the hospital!
THANK YOU for your time, donations, and bids! Every item and every penny helps
