Chest of Colors forum

I entered this mini in the last Wyrd contest, but I knew still needed to go back and redo the cloak to bring the darker colors out more. There are a couple of little touch-ups left around the legs, too. I'm thinking about adding woodgrain to the gun when I go back to him. The pictures aren't the best, but they give a decent representation. The base and the skull are a bit washed out in this picture. The highlights and shading are much clearer on the actual mini.

Some people said that the green didn't work for the cloak because it made the model too busy. What do you think? I could see it being brown instead of green.

the color for the cloak works just fine a nice neutral grey-green. I like it that you have painted him in cygnar army colors.

On the paintjob itself, it's decent, but as you said yourself, it could use more contrast in the form of shading and highlighting. Like the backside of the cloak, it looks a bit flat.
I'd try to work in some more colors in the rock too. Browns and greens mostly

He would look very good while leading an army I think.

well You know wery well what should be done:
shading
especially on the cloak - it's a large surface and really catches the viewers' attention

Please, please, please comment on this. :pray: I've been looking at it and commenting for well over a month. It needs comments from other people now.
