Chest of Colors forum

Started painting Mordred the Damned today... I'm really liking how the red turned out, the sword is mediocre, but definitely looks better in real life than it does in the photo... damn shiny metallics I'm thinking I'll do the skin in a sort of greenish-gray color with some shading with some kind of pinkish color. Anyway, here he is.

the red looks very nice
The sword looks decent atm. I don't like those streaks in the middle though. Is it meant to be a dirty/ rusty sword? The blood is nice though. Maybe add a bit black to the color you use for it to darken some spots a bit.

The idea for the skin sounds nice

Just like Thomas said, the red looks good but for me the sword needs more work...Maybe work your way up starting with brownish washes thicker at the hilt and gradually ligther to the tip of the sword.
