Wooden showbase

HI.
I've just received a base made by a man from my mother's work (I think he hadn't knew what exactly he is doing for me :wink: ).It was completly free :) .

I think it will be a nice show base after modelling and painting - what do you think :wink: ?

I agree - may look nice :)
actually I'm also looking the idea for painting wooden base for my land raider...
it's far too bright but I'm not sure if painting it with acrylic paints is a good idea :(

There is a wood stain (pl. bejca) - it would help You a lot to get darker tone of wood ;)

OK - I will use this stain (tak - zabejcuje :wink: ) but after or before making all base on this wood ? Using this stain before won't make anything wrong ?

As long as the stain does not contain polyurethane or other kind of clear coat sealer you should be fine. If it does then you will need to let it dry thoroughly and then sand lightly the top to allow glue and paint to stick to the wood.
