RE: Crocodile Games Olympus line

not my cup of tea, to be honest. Few of those are nice, but nothing special imo.
Is the release an official information? From what I know, Crocodile Games are showing models for Wargods of Hyperborea and Olympus for few years already.
BTW, yetis are for Wargods of Hyperborea, IIRC.

they had the models in their online store during GenCon for a special action. You could buy them in their onlinestore during GenCon, after GenCon they were removed.
So I guess that means that they are really releasing them next year :)
And I didn't know about Hyperborea (found it weird to see Wendigo's between greek troops ;) )

Not necessarily ToMaZ :) afaik, they do it on every bigger con :)
Perhaps the didn't sell via online store, but they take models to cons.

crocodile games wrote:Lots of people worldwide know about the Croc?s long-standing tradition of making some of our upcoming models available in limited quantities at conventions. Well, we?ve decided to make our ?preview? models available for purchase to EVERYONE worldwide, for the duration of GenCon!

As of midnight, Wednesday night, these miniatures will be available for purchase. We?ll only be leaving them up for the next 4 days (while were at GenCon.) Once we?re back from the show, we?ll be pulling the figures from the Croc Store, and they won?t be back until they are officially released, months and months from now.

Here are a few of the preview miniatures that will be available ? there are lots more!

O-701 Titan Overlord $54.95
O-107 Titan Hunter $7.95
O-208 Demigod of Apollo $7.95
O-211 Demigod of Artemis $7.95
H-104 Wendigo Ice Warrior 2 $9.95
O-103 Spartan Strategos $5.95
O-201 Leonidas, King of Sparta $9.95
O-301 Spartan Hoplite Unit $24.95
O-302 Mycenean Hoplite Unit $24.95
Check back after midnight for a complete list -- over 18 new packs of miniatures!

Due to the expected volume of orders -- plus our recovery from the chaos of GenCon!-- we anticipate that all orders will be completely filled within 4-6 weeks. Some items are limited quantities, so it?s first come, first served! If we?re unable to fill your order, we will contact you immediately to see how you would like to proceed. Note: as usual, credit card orders will not be charged until your order is ready to be packed.
But you might be right about the releasing date. I know some of these miniatures were sculpted and cast ages ago, they just refuse to release them it seems.

I have to agree. Nothing special but nice, but not nice enough for me to want to paint one or two for fun. The paint jobs are nice and crisp but seem just ordinary and not inspiring - maybe I am being too critical?

I own several Wendigos and Demi-Gods from last year. I also bought an ice witch while I was there this time.

Some of the models are really cool. I don't believe the photos do some of them justice.

Mostly, they are for game play. The variety is starting to widen with the second two lines.

My understanding is that they are a very small company that is trying to keep providing solid support for the Aegyptus line while expanding slowly with the next two lines in order to not go under from taking on too much debt at once.

Some threadomancy here, but instead of starting a new one I will put those here:

Nualia & Elyrium (Quasit Familiar)

I have to say that I like the feel those goblins have. More of the fairy-tale mean and nasty spirits, than GW-ish. Others are not really my cup of tea.
