Collapse forum sections

I am wondering is this a function available with this forum software? Basically I am curious is there is a means of collapsing areas of the forum in order to hide sections I don't frequent. This is available with the invasion board software and can be done on sites like Privateer Presses and Reapermini.
Is the shoutbox also something that can be collapsed? I don't use it but everytime I try to scroll down the forums I end up scrolling the shoutbox first.
