I don't know if I should be amused or mad...
This makes the whole idea behind CMON worth nothing...

I remeber there was "Frodo wearing the ring" on CMON too. It was just the base. But that thing amused me, while the Super Evil Chaos Warrior ... didn't :P

this means the modearators must've been sleeping :P
maybe you noticed a recent article on CMON full of visible HTML (or BBCode?) tags, and really hard to read? This also shouldn't pass the moderation...

I never really liked CMON, so it doesn't disturb me :)
At the beginning I found it a good idea, but there have been so many site errors, tricks, stupid users that it has lost its value in my eyes.

It is great as a source of inspiration.

It is awful when people compete there... and not always in a fair way. :(

I still think CMON is the number one mini site on the web, but it's glory times are over now IMO. Since the site owner isn't maintaining it anymore, my image of CMON has changed a bit. On their forums I once described it as a "zombie site": kept alive by the community: the heart, but without brains: the site admins. And I also think the quality of the posts on their forum has decreased. I think 3/4 of all messages is OT trash, and if you post something about painting, they will take that thread off track in no time. For example this thread by me: https://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/vie ... 658&page=1 which is hijacked on the fourth reply already...

So I'm very happy with a forum like this one, which I consider much more mature...

Totally agree, Corvus, couldn't have said it better :).

There a lot of great works up on CMON, good for inspiration and reference, but apart from that it is on a downward spiral.

Zombie site
great term for it!

But in fact the admins do support it, but the support it pretty poor and slow. I know it's too hard tro control such a huge thing, but that's why it's not as cool as it used to be.

And the forums haven't been too cool (and informative) for a pretty long time.... I think they never were :(
