Black or white basecoat???

So some say white some say black and I dont really know.
I have always gone for the black as it was told me by Gw but now that I have checked a few Forums/fora I see white everywhere,
so what is it gonna be?
I guess white for starting with ink or watered-down-basecoat and black for highlighting right?

Tell me what you use and what you use it for!?!

its all up to you. black usually gives you less bright paintjobs, but is easier for beginners (if you "forget" some recesses they dont shine white ^^

I use mostly black. Easier to cover with most colors. You don't have to worry that much about blacklining.
Somethimes I use white: Colors appear a bit brighter, some colors are much easier to paint on white than on black, and it's easier to see the details IMO.

I don't think there is much of a difference. White spray just takes a bit a different approach than black.

there is another thing. You can't easy highlight some colors on black undercoat for ex yellow on black is much harder than on white. But i don't know why i don't use undercoats. I paint areas on white or black dependent on situation - efect i want to get. V

Edit I start write in same time ;) - ToMaZ wrote all things i want to "say"

I'm with them. It depends on the piece and what colors I'm going to be using. I also you the zenithal (is that the right word?) method sometimes, too. (white from overhead on top of black)

Jup, as Tanya already said I started using the Zentihal undercoating way too. Still a bit tricky as I tend to overdo it with the white dusting...

Mordred (as far as I know) is more known with Zenithal Priming I believe, so maybe he can shed some more light on the subject.

but its not so visible that its primed that way ^^ maybe look at the base, gives the best impression.
