short tutorial - how to sculpt GW heads :)

Post by Scibor »

At the start I want to say that I don't feel obligated to explain myself at all, because I am slandered person here.
But caring about my good name I decided to make this short tutorial to prove to some persons, that sculpting head in 28mm scale is easy (if of course the sculptor is concentrated on his work - not on discreditating other sculptors...)
I don't negate I used pressed Terminator heads to make some of my convertions, but I used them ONLY to make convertions - never for mass production purposes. I thought there was nothing wrong in that if You could find such techniques described in White Dwarf magazine (there was described pressing purity seals).
Games Workshop has never contacted with me in this case but to avoid rows, similiar to one we're already having on CofC, I decided to use heads sculpted by me only.
Last malicious falsehood that I use pressed GW heads in produced miniatures is just insolence!
I'm not going to debate about such lowlife charges with persons, who's culture and objectivity level doesn't bow to discussion of adult and intelligent persons.
As I mentioned, last night I made this short tutorial to show that sculpting is no problem for me.
I dedicate it to all complexed people, who cannot fully enjoy their hobby because of jeleousy and handicaps.
Oh, by the way: I'm not a lawyer but I suspect that unjustified slander is a crime...
Anyway I'm going back to my work and Messers Frustrated may still be pis*ed.

Ok, he's shown he can sculpt faces which is a good thing as hopefully we can see some more miniatures with different looking faces now(which is what has been at the crux of the problem) from Scibor.
@scibor: I dont think the problem was with that hand but the actual space marine torso on a smaller base, which looks very similar to the plastic ones, the question there wasn't down to copying but to IP infringement as you are selling a base with a dead Space Marine on(and its clearly a Space marine wether you sculpted it or used parts), I think it would be better for yourself if you tried to make bases without GW inspired items on as it will possibly stop any future accusations.

For the record I feel I should copy here what I wrote on FUUK

"Sorry but that head looks really lacking in definition, there hasn't even been any attempt to model the fine detail such as the eyes. There's no way it looks like it has been done by the same person. And if the power armour isn't a direct copy and therefore a certain IP infringement then words fail me.
I think you've just shot yourself in both feet!"

madmcgobo --> So I realy do not think that I should care what You think about my bases.
GW do not discover parts of all armous like shoulder or torso.
You may find it in many many miniatures.
I am not going to make onother photo or sculpture to prove You anything.
Please write to GW that You found crime but I know that it will be only next one to big collection of delations about my crimes :)

greetings.

Well I was being nice, but considering your reply to me Scibor it shows why a lot of people have problems getting on with you, if you can't take contructive critisism(which it was, it wasn't just a general slagging off now was it?) then don't show or sell your works.
I was hoping you were as grown up as you said on CMON but you just spat the dummy out didn't you?
I appologise to Mahon in advance for this but Scibor I think you are acting like a prize ass.

I'll tell you now Scibor, not one of these posts or people posting are "pitiful", what is pitiful is the Worlds attitude to the environment thats a real case of pitiful.
Lets see how you like this, I know 2 close friends of mine have possetion of one of your adeptus custode conversions and they have made silicon moulds of all the green parts you pressed yourself and will be selling them on ebay soon. What can you do about it? Nothing as its not your IP, how does it feel to have the same done to you as what is being done to GW with those small bases with space marines on?
++Please note, I am mad as hell at Scibors attitude towards people who are not posting negative comments to him, but trying to provide a constructive critique. He has burnt a bridge with myself++

I think I'll just go with what McGobbo said.
I really don't think another 10 minutes is going to help your case :-|
